I hear this a lot, and read it a lot.
The fact of the matter is that the world is practically littered with weight loss, and weight management systems and many of them are very good. There is however a downside to many.
That is, that many are based on being a DIET. A system where the user is obliged to focus on changing their routines, their lifestyles and becoming a slave to a series of dos and don’ts for the life of the diet.
Now, the fact of the matter is that many of these are highly restrictive and require the person almost to become a slave to them, leaving the end user feeling some resentment at having to abstain from the things that they like to eat.
If the subconscious, the core of us, is not satisfied with what it is asked to do then, when the final day and final weigh in comes, and the person has (hopefully) reached their target weight, then that person breathes both a physical and mental sigh of relief and reverts back to their old ways and gets on the yo yo bandwagon and, over time, pretty much reverts back to their old weight plateau.
Hypnotherapy can, for many be the solution to this as hypnosis works on reprogramming the subconscious so as to take on board healthier living, smaller portion sizes, less snacking and a higher proportion of healthier foods within their diet (not to be confused with being “on a diet”).
