I found this a very interesting read on how stopping (I don’t like to call it quitting and if you ask me when you come to see me I will tell you exactly why).
I’m inclined to trust the bods at Oxford and Cambridge on this one.
Also note that it does point out that a failed attempt to stop smoking can increase anxiety levels. That, hopefully, is where I come in. I aim to speed the process along and make it a smooth and easy transition for all of my clients who come to see me to kick the habit.
Note the part that says “the findings should be used to reassure smokers attempting to quit that concerns about increased anxiety were unfounded.”
