A good therapist doesn't need to be one who's closest to you.

By all means, for many people it makes sense to find someone nearby and I’m not expecting many clients from as far away as London (although I’ve had a few).

Find someone who you get a good feeling about, who is trained, insured and who can give you plenty of time and aftercare. This may mean travelling an extra few miles.

Finding a ‘local’ therapist may not always be the best solution. The best solution would be someone who can meet your needs and build rapport with you.

For the record, I am based near to junction 26 of the M62. Generally speaking, Bradford, Halifax, Leeds, Wakefield, Batley, Bingley, Saltaire, Keighly and Huddersfield (smaller towns and villages in the area included of course) are where most of my clients come from.
